BOUNDARY WALL, GATES AND GATEPIERS: coped random rubble boundary wall facing church with ashlar pyramidal-capped gatepiers; slightly taller, squared snecked sandstone boundary wall facing road with coped ashlar gatepiers and decorative 2-leaf cast-iron gates by Sun Foundry.

Irregular-plan multi-period churchyard / cemetery, partially enclosed with random rubble boundary wall, containing many unusual grave markers including cast-iron obelisk to James Bruce, Carron Ironworks enclosure with Distyle Doric temple. (Historic Environment Scotland List Entry)

15 August 2019: Inspection finds a section of boundary wall to the south (on falling ground) has collapsed with an adjoining section remaining upright but with an evident lean. The northern section of wall has saplings growing in proximity to footings along its length. Two sets of grave markers/ wall-set memorials in this section are currently propped. The tall, elaborate iron gates, also within this span, are intact but heavily rusted (with some broken detailing) presumably the resulting expansion necessitated the use of zip-ties to keep the gates closed.
