Rosslyn Gunpowder Mill, Off Oatslie Road, Roslin

Ruins of former Roslin Glen Gunpowder Mills. Part of a larger complex that once occupied the site, opened in the early 1800s. Remains of stone gables and lined waterways.

10 March 2022: External inspection finds that the structure, part of a wider industrial complex, is a managed ruin, complete with pathways and interpretation boards. Whilst this part of the complex has previously been subject to repair and consolidation works, vegetation growth in and on masonry is now of concern. Mortar loss and cracking are visible, especially around skews and wallheads affected by vegetation growth.
