Development History
May 1991: External inspection reveals the cottage to be ruinous, with its thatched roof now collapsed. SCT understands the owner has recently died, and a family member has expressed an interest in rethatching the cottage in a similar scheme to that proposed for the adjacent 2 Luib. January 2000: Local planners report that the roof has now completely collapsed. November 2001: Local planners report that permissions have now been granted for the erection of a house on the adjacent land. Access will be through the outbuildings associated with this property.
September 2010: External inspection finds the building survives but only just. The north gable is still standing and most walls survive, precariously to wallhead. The interior is overgrown. The building was de-listed by Historic Scotland, Feb 2009.
4 June 2013: External inspection finds no significant change from the previous site visit. Risk level moved to Moderate as the building does not appear to be deteriorating.
22 February 2024: Desk-based assessment suggests the building remains At-Risk.
