Development History
July 1996: SCT understands the house was last occupied in the mid 1940s. Although all of the surrounding properties were refurbished in 1968-1969 by the National Trust for Scotland's Little Houses Improvement Scheme, it has decided not to renovate this property due to a lack of original internal fabric and problems with damp. It now stands bare of harl, with cracking evident at the southernmost gable. April 1997: SCT understands that the house has been acquired by a private restorer. February 1998: SCT understands that restoration works have commenced. January 2002: Local planners report that works are ongoing. September 2007: External inspection reveals the building is in poor condition and unoccupied, but secured. The masonry may need attention, particuarly the pointing and protection of the wall heads to the rear section. Moved back to At Risk.
August 2010: External inspection finds no significant change from the previous site visit. Deterioration continues.
28 May 2014: External inspection finds the building remains in much the same condition as seen previously.
1 September 2017: A member of the public advises the property remains At Risk.
2 August 2018: External inspection finds the building remains in much the same condition as seen previously. Deterioration continues.
