Description
High 3-span coursed rubble bridge, with taller central arch. Ashlar arched rings and triangular cutwaters; ashlar string course and parapet cope; splayed approaches.
Now by-passed by re-aligned A837 road. Fine bridge in good order except for some crumbling masonry on north side of western arch. (Historic Scotland)

Development History
June 1990: The bridge has now been bypassed by a realigned A837.
21 June 2012: Inspection finds the bridge is blocked at both ends and signs declare it to be dangerous. It is overgrown along its length and many saplings are growing in the sides. Masonry has been lost from the parapets. Move to At Risk.
3 October 2013: Inspection finds the structure remains in much the same condition as seen previously. Some masonry has been lost from the arch voussoirs.
10 March 2020: A member of the public reports concerns over the condition of the bridge, which is starting to collapse into the river.
23 February 2024: Desk-based assessment suggests the bridge remains At-Risk and access has been restricted to the structure.
