Development History
October 2008: External inspection finds the building fabric is deteriorating. The roof structure appears to remain intact but the thatch is missing from some areas and overgrown with grass in others. Some window frames are missing, others in very poor condition.
July 2009: Noted as being recently re-roofed and re-thatched in 1983-4, and only recently vacated by a family at that time but in use as a store, with apparantly an interconnecting passage to the new build through the south gable, in the Thatched Building Survey of Tiree, Coll and Mull, 1985.
27 June 2012: External inspection finds thatch has gone from most of the roof and the southern end of the roof structure has collapsed. The remaining ridge remains but much of the roof structure is exposed.
