Description
Low single-storey square hen house with centre square boarded cupola (probably housing former small dovecote). Harl pointed rubble. Paired entrances E and W under deep boarded gables with simple bargeboards and wooden apex finials. Apex weathercock to cupola (compass pointers missing); shallow piended slate roofs with exaggerated deep eaves. (Historic Scotland)

September 2006: Local planners draw the Service's attention to the Hen House. For Investigation.
27 July 2013: External inspection finds this attractive and quirky little building, disused and in an advanced state of decay. At Risk.
