Development History
October 2009: External inspection finds the building, which has been much extended, appears to be in a sound condition, but is empty. Gutter and downpipe failures threaten the internal fabric.
26 July 2012: External inspection finds no significant change from the previous site visit, although the conservatory has been demolished. The site is being marketed for let (may sell) by Coates & Co on behalf of British Waterways Scotland.
22 November 2012: The site would appear to be no longer under marketing for lease.
6 December 2018: External inspection finds the building is suffering from lack of maintenance and there is evidence of further deterioration since last visit. Roof is in overall Fair condition. The property is now secured by heres fencing. Some windows have been broken. Rainwater goods are showing signs of corrosion and are in need of maintenance. There are signs of damp with associated staining on the stonework. Condition moved to Poor.
