A rubble-built thatched house to the E end of the stackyard,replaced by a later dwelling, which was built in 1897 and converted to a byre in 1934. The thatched byre is still in working order and contains intact stall divisions. To the W of the stackyard is a small kiln barn; the kiln was removed when the local mill closed (1998). (RCAHMS)

Development History
March 2010: External inspection finds most of the building remains intact, but the building is now on the cusp of more serious declone. The thatched roof is largely intact but areas have been exposed at the hipped ridges and some of the roof structure has fallen inwards. One chimney has collapsed. The building may in use as an agricultural store.
9 June 2015: External inspection finds the roof has now collapsed.
