Single storey, rusticated ashlar faced turbine house (brick lined interior) with piended roof of felt tiles. Irregularly disposed doors and windows, all missing with two circular apertures to west for iron water supply pipes. Arched discharge channel at lower level to River South Esk.

Development History
20 July 2012: External inspection finds a simple former turbine house, now stripped out and slowly decaying. A small tree grows from one part of the roof while another part of the roof is collapsing.
17 March 2022: External inspection finds further decay of structure, most likely due to fire. Signs of charring on roof timbers. Stone has been lost around lower frame of doorway on southern elevation.
