Small House to Rear, Forse House, Latheron

Small early-mid 18th century 2-storey, 3-bay rubble harl pointed house with ashlar dressings re-built on present site in 1801. Centre door with simply chamfered jambs and inscribed and dated plaque above. Crowsteps, end stacks; Caithness slate roof. Addition to north gable.

19 June 2012: External inspection finds the building appears to have been derelict for a number of years. The roof is in poor condition with a large holes at the site of a former dormer on the east pitch. Where rainwater goods are present they are non-functional. The render is coming off walls, especially on the west elevation. The ground floor windows are boarded up while first floor ones are mostly open to the elements. Tree branches are sitting on the west roof pitch.

2 October 2013: External inspection finds the building remains in poor condition.

23 February 2024: Desk-based assessment suggests the building remains disused.
