Notice

Following a review of the Buildings at Risk Register we have paused the Register while we consider options for its future.
The website will remain accessible and searchable during this time, but it will not be updated and we’re not accepting nominations for additions to the Register. If you need to contact us about the BARR please email hmenquiries@hes.scot

Development History
23 October 2013: Nominated for the Register by Glasgow City Council. For Investigation.
9 November 2013: Limited external inspection possible as high fencing is in place around the building. The former house is a roofless shell, intact to wallheads. The building is being supported by internal scaffolding and protective plastic sheeting is visible to wallheads/ internal walls. Saplings and trees are growing in close proximity to the building. Consent for alterations and creation of a butterfly farm were conditionally granted by Glasgow City Council in Mar 1995 ref: 94/02193/DC & 93/01445/DC. Moved to At Risk.
1 June 2023: Limited external inspection possible, the rear and eastern elevations could not be assessed. From what could be viewed the building remains a roofless ruin but walls appear to remain relatively plumb and intact to wallhead. Supporting scaffold remains in place internally and externally but is rusting. Since the previous site visit, the trees growing in close proximity to walls, are now heavily encroaching the south and west elevations. A high wooden fence is in place to the public street and a metal fence separates the house from the recycling unit to the immediate north of the plot.
