Development History
25 June 2013: External inspection finds a stone built bridge over the Foyers gorge, now closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic because of structural issues. Parapets are missing in places, the temporary footway is decayed and there are extensive vegetation growths on the top and sides of the bridge.
24 October 2013: The bridge was closed to pedestrian traffic in 2009 following concerns over structural stability. It is understood to have been closed to road traffic for some time with a scaffold walkway supporting the structure and providing pedestrian access.
21 February 2018: Inspection finds the bridge remains in much the same condition as seen previously and increasingly overgrown.
19 February 2024: Desk-based assessment suggests the bridge remains disused.
