Development History
24 August 2023: External inspection finds the building to be vacant since the closure of BHS in 2016 and currently in fair condition. There are a few sections of panels which are missing or damaged under the canopy and on the store frontage. There is some peeling paint on the store frontage as well. There is light vegetation growth on the canopy. The upper glazing appears intact. The lower openings and glazing are covered and appear secure. Move to At Risk. Condition set to Fair and Risk to Low.

Post-survey update: Planning permission for use of vacant building as Class 1 (retail: food and non-food items) with ancillary uses, includes frontage alterations, installation of plant and associated works (ref: 21/00612/FUL) has been granted with conditions.

Further update: A building warrant for the previously noted work is now being sought (21/01353/BW).
