Description

East facing range of 2-storeys, 7 symmetrical bays; all harled. Slightly advanced and gabled centre bay with later projecting porch masking centre door; outer flanking 3 bays each with centre doors; 12-pane glazing; corniced ridge and end stacks; Caithness slate roof.

Unusual row of farm servants' dwellings. Appears on 1st ed OS (1872). (Historic Scotland)

Development History
June 1996: External inspection reveals the building to be vacant and run down. February 2000: Local planners are unaware of any change.
20 June 2012: External inspection finds the building shows signs of continued deterioration. There is a hole in the roof ridge just right of centre and some slates have been lost from the roof. The gutter is clogged to the left of the central gablet. A number of panes of glass have been lost.
26 September 2013: External inspection finds the buildings remain in much the same condition as seen previously.
22 February 2024: Desk-based assessment suggests the building remains disused.
