Development History
July 2003: A member of the public brings the bridge to the attention of the Buildings at Risk Service. It is in poor condition with some stonework collapse. South Lanarkshire Council reports that ownership of the bridge is unclear and is hampering future restoration works. An ownership search has proved inconclusive.
March 2010: Inspection finds this an unusual little bridge with some significant structural problems. Query whether there may also be an issue of future flooding problems. Some repair works since 2002 appear to have taken place.
8 August 2013: External inspection finds no significant change from the previous site visit.
