Square, coped brick stalk of Prinlaws Mill.
No other parts of Prinlaws Mill (flax spinning and bleaching) remain, but this may belong to the West Mill built in 1836; the North mill being added in 1853. Prinlaws was a separate entity to Leslie, set up as a works village with its own amenities. (Historic Scotland)

Development History
September 2007: External inspection reveals that the stalk may be in danger of collapse due to a large structural crack
November 2010: External inspection finds no significant change since the last visit. The building continues to deteriorate and is a cause for concern.
8 May 2014: Listed Building Consent for demolition of the chimney stack is being sought ref: 14/01299/LBC.
23 September 2014: External inspection finds the building remains in much the same condition as seen previously.
4 December 2014: Listed Building Consent for the demolition of the stalk, being sought on the grounds of being beyond economic repair, remains under consideration. Ref: 14/01299/LBC.
16 August 2018: External inspection finds the stalk in much the same condition as seen previously. The boundaries were overgrown so survey was conducted from the path. Listed building consent for demolition was approved February 2015. Ref: 14/01299/LBC. Move Risk to Critical.
2 May 2024: Desk-based assessment suggests the building remains At-Risk.
