Development History
30 June 2014: Nominated for the Register by a member of the public as disused, with some missing elements and in need of maintenance. For Investigation.
24 September 2014: External inspection finds all openings secured by roller shutters. Timber elements are in need of maintenance. The roof is in fair to poor condition - some cresting is evident and some of the barge boards are missing. Rainwater goods are in poor condition with vegetation growth in parts. The building may be in partial use as storage space for park maintenance. The Beveridge Park Maintenance Plan 2010-2013 details the main buildings and facilities within the park and notes Southerton Lodge as being in poor condition with extensive internal refurbishment required and being in need of an alternative use.
2 August 2018: External inspection finds the building remains in much the same condition as seen previously. The grounds are well maintained but deterioration of the building continues. There are some fallen roof tiles and the rainwater goods are in need of repair. There are signs of damp on the stonework.
27 June 2023: Listed building consent for the repair and replacement works including re-roofing and replacement slates, replacement rainwater goods, fascia, soffits, bargeboards, ridges and finials (ref: 22/04094/LBC) has been conditionally granted.
19 February 2024: Listed Building Consent (24/00146/LBC) is being sought for soft strip and repair including replacement windows and roof finishes.
