Description
Short terrace of 2 storey buildings. Different uses of stone construction suggest the right most building incorporates the material of an earlier single storey building. Random rubble construction with ashlar margins and quoins. Pitched slated roof over with canted piended dormer to right bay. Wallhead chimney stack to left bay, gable end chimney stack to N end of terrace.
Images within the Langholm Archive Group show the terrrace at various points: an image circa 1864 , shows the right building before a dormer window was inserted and the left building as forming part of a separate block of industrial buildings complete with a third storey. The third storey openings appear to have been made up of louvered vents, suggesting it was in use as drying racks related to the tannery process.

Development History
11 June 2014: External inspection suggests the block is now disused but overall in fair condition. The gutter is clogged with weeds in places. There is a section of the roof with slipped slates. Sections of the front wall, particularly beneath windows are very damp. Timber elements require maintenance.
26 July 2024: Desk-based assessment suggests the building remains At-Risk.
